technique tuesday

Welcome back, we are now in the last month of saleabration, where Stampin Up! are generous enough to give us free stuff with our orders!  Some of the items have sold out, but there is still a chance to get your hands on those free goodies with a £45 order.
One of my favorites of all of the stamp sets has to be the gorgeous By the Bay stamp set, this set is so versatile and useful for those tricky male cards.

For this card, I've taken inspiration from kelly Acheson over at A Stamp Above and used the birds from By the Bay, the technique I've used today is some sponging to create the sky and the beach, and then I've used the stitched framelits to create a raised frame.  The images in this set make it easy to make quick effective cards,.

Saleabration Saturday

Welcome back, it's the weekend again, and what better time to show you another of the new saleabration offerings, Stampin Up! are definitely spoiling us this time!

This card started off as a miss folded base! I was too busy chatting to look at my trimmer properly when I scored it! But as you all know there is no such thing as a mistake when you are stamping, remember how beautiful that card was that Sarah made a few posts back?, I also hate to waste card stock so I decided to go with it and this is what I came up with, the product for Saleabration Saturday this week is this amazing embossing folder, It's one of our dynamic ones, and the photos don't do it justice, the embossing is beautifully textured, I've tried it on metallic card, sparkly card, and have inked it up too, all with beautiful results.  If you don't get anything else during this Saleabration, I really would suggest that you get this! And remember with an order of £45 it's free!!
I added a cat and a few mice for her to chase and the card was complete.
